All The Rivers Run

Day 1

Home – Adelaide – Goolwa
Flying into Adelaide, continue on the coach to Hahndorf, known for its German style architecture and artisanal food. Head to the historic river port of Goolwa on Lake Alexandrina for dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 2

Goolwa – Mannum
This morning board the ‘Spirit of the Murray’ and be captivated by the abundant birdlife and wildlife, the history, moods and sounds of the Murray River. With many stops and excursions for lunch and sightseeing, this is the best way to embrace the surrounding towns. Cruise upstream and across Lake Alexandrina (subject to weather) to Point Pomanda. Cruise past the willow lined river banks and towns of Wellington, Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge on our way to Mannum where our coach will transfer us to our motel.

Day 3

Mannum – Waikerie
After breakfast, return to the boat and cruise around the Big Bend, passing breathtaking views of the high golden cliffs. Traversing Lock 1, we stop at the historic river port of Morgan, enjoying lunch at the old railway station. Reboarding the boat, we continue through Lock 2 to Waikerie for our overnight accommodation.

Day 4

Waikerie – Loxton
Today we cruise past the Great Yarra Reach, Overland Corner and through Lock 3 to Kingstonon- Murray for a coach transfer to Banrock Station. Enjoy a talk, wine tasting and lunch before returning to the boat and cruising along Seven Mile Reach, the longest straight stretch of the Murray, to Loxton for our overnight stop.

Day 5

Spirit – Loxton – Wentworth
Return to the boat and cruise through Lock 4 to Berri for a short stop. Enjoy lunch on board the boat as we cruise through Lock 5, under the lift bridge at Paringa and on to Renmark. Leaving the Spirit of the Murray, we head to Wentworth for our overnight stay.

Day 6

Wentworth – Echuca
Wentworth is the region’s oldest town, located at the confluence of the Murray and Darling Rivers. See the two rivers meet before following the river by coach on to Echuca. This afternoon, board the Emmylou Paddle steamer for a relaxing afternoon cruise.

Day 7

Echuca – Yass
Today we follow alongside the mighty Murray through the Mulwala Lake System. Continuing via Albury/Wodonga to the submarine town of Holbrook, explore the town and purchase your
lunch along the way. This afternoon detour into Gundagai via the old wooden bridge and onto Yass.

Day 8

Yass – Sydney – Home
Travel via the beautiful Southern Highlands to Moss Vale, amongst farmlands, vineyards and gardens. Following lunch in Sydney, Queensland passengers fly home to Brisbane while the coach continues to the Hunter.
