Mungo National Park
Experience the World Heritage Listed Mungo National Park with a fully guided tour. The abundance of the lake 15,000 years ago made Mungo an ideal location for Aboriginal settlement
so it is the site of one of the earth's longest continuous human habitations. See the famous Mungo lunettes and the spectacular Walls of China. Mungo’s red sandy country is home to a diverse array of animals, birds and plant life. Enjoy a home cooked outback buffet style picnic lunch with surrounding views of the lake.

Day 5

Wentworth – Peterborough
Your South Australian experience begins today after crossing the river into Victoria and continuing into South Australia outside Renmark. Stop in Burra for lunch, an old copper mining town, before arriving in Peterborough for a guided tour of the roundhouse. This was an important workshop particularly for the Ghan railway. Peterborough’s Steamtown was once a vast rail operation where over 100 steam locomotives passed through each day before heading to all corners of Australia.

Day 6

Peterborough – Wilpena Pound
Entering the Flinders Ranges, our touring starts at Wilpena Pound, a natural amphitheatre of mountains, history and stories. A leisurely walk takes you towards the centre of the pound where you can start to take in the ancient rock formations that have shaped this area over millions of years. Explore the old farm buildings of the early settlers as you make your way along the track. Enjoy a drink before dinner and watch the sun set over the ranges and the giant gum trees.

B, L, D
