Indian Pacific Explorer

One of the great Australian rail journeys, this 4,352 km journey traverses the breadth of Australia between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Follow in the footsteps of those who have ventured beyond the city limits to see a land of contrasts: the heights of the Blue Mountains, the barren expanse of the Nullarbor, lush vineyards and vast gold mines.

Today we arrive in Broken Hill, for the first of our Off Train Excursions. Explore the beauty of this Silver City and discover the history of mining that makes the town what it is today. Visit the
Pro Hart Gallery before returning to the train for a late breakfast. As our journey continues into South Australia, you’ll notice a dramatic change in landscape as we travel from the southern
