Day 1

Home – Fraser Island
Passengers departing from Brisbane will travel by coach to Hervey Bay, where our southern travellers will join us for lunch after their flight north. After a catered lunch, our transfer across the Great Sandy Strait to Fraser Island will take approximately 50 minutes and will offer the opportunity to sight dolphins, dugong and turtles. On arrival onto the island this afternoon, enjoy a meet and greet before settling in for the next four nights. Please be aware that all rooms have showers over baths. This afternoon is free for you to relax and orientate yourself with the resort.

Day 2

Fraser Island – Beauty Spots Tour
Following breakfast, enjoy a Beauty Spots Tour onboard one of the resort’s custom built 4WD vehicles – with lunch and refreshments included. See some of Fraser Island’s inland highlights, including Central Station and the white sands and clear waters of Lake Birrabeen and Lake McKenzie, where you will have time for a swim. You may also choose an optional flight over Fraser, taking off and landing on the beach.
Please note that 4WD touring on Day 2 and Day 4 is ‘off-road’ style, so please be prepared for an adventurous, bumpy ride.

Day 3

Fraser Island – Whale Watching Cruise
The waters surrounding Fraser Island and Hervey Bay are one of only two places in the world where whales take time out of their migration schedule. The holidaying humpbacks put on a great show in the calm waters and today there will be opportunity for you to see the whales come out to play whilst on board a whale watching cruise. We are informed by the resort staff that on these days, it really is a question of who is watching whom! On your return to the resort, relax in the poolside setting at the Sand Bar for lunch before enjoying an afternoon at leisure.

Day 4

Fraser Island – 4WD Eco -Tour
Today we journey out again onboard one of the 4WD vehicles, visiting the magnificent Eastern Beach, the fresh waters of Eli Creek, the coloured sands of the Pinnacles and a drive along Seventy Five Mile Beach’s famous highway past the shipwreck of the Maheno. This evening, back at the resort, enjoy a seafood buffet dinner with vegetarian options for non-seafood lovers.

Day 5

Fraser Island - Brisbane
Your time on Fraser Island draws to a close with your ferry transfer back to River Heads on the mainland. Stop in Maryborough for lunch before continuing onboard the coach to Brisbane, where our southern friends will transfer to the airport for their flight home.
