Brisbane – Eumundi Markets – Maryborough
Visit Eumundi Markets, a vibrant mecca for visitors and a shopping haven if you’re looking for something different. Purchase your own lunch from one of the many stalls before continuing on through Gympie to Maryborough. Enjoy an informative town tour before checking into our accommodation for the next 2 nights.
Markets and City Highlights
This morning take a ride on the Mary Ann through Queens Park, a replica steam locomotive lovingly maintained and operated by a team of volunteers. Next we visit the Heritage City Markets where there will be time to purchase your own lunch while enjoying the entertainment and browsing the many stalls. This afternoon step back into a chronicle of 100 years of merchandising at Brennan and Geraghty’s Store with its remarkably intact stock still on the shelves.
Maryborough – Brisbane
This morning take time to explore the recently opened WWI ANZAC trail. This tribute was inspired by Duncan Chapman, Maryborough’s most famous son, who was the first Allied soldier to step ashore at Gallipoli. Farewell this heritage city and travel to the seaside village of Tin Can Bay for morning tea before making our way down the coast for lunch at Golden Beach. This afternoon, on arrival back into Brisbane, your crew will have your transfers arranged.
