Day 1

Brisbane – Armidale
Depart Brisbane, travelling via Cunninghams Gap to Warwick. Enjoy morning tea before continuing on to Tenterfield for lunch. This afternoon travel via Glen Innes to Armidale for our overnight stay.

Day 2

Armidale – Mudgee
Following breakfast, journey through Uralla and Moonbi to Tamworth. Visit the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame and following lunch arrive in the historic town of Mudgee, renowned for
its heritage streetscapes, charming old public buildings and grand old homes.

Day 3

Mudgee – Cootamundra
The countryside offers scenic views of vineyards and hillsides as our journey takes us into one of Australia’s most famous gold mining areas. Travel toward Sofal and on to Australia’s oldest inland settlement, Bathurst, for lunch and a town tour. Continue on to Cootamundra, for the next two nights, just a short distance past Young.

Day 4

Cootamundra – Junee – National Cherry Festival
Just south of Cootamundra is the town of Junee, one of the most important centres for NSW Railways where we’ll visit the Roundhouse Museum. Following morning tea we travel to Young for lunch before the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the activities of the National Cherry Festival. With Home Treasure Markets, Street Parade and a range of gourmet and fresh food outlets, you will have plenty of choice when purchasing your own dinner.

Day 5

Cootamundra – Dubbo
Return to Young this morning and spend some time at a local orchard picking your own cherries to take home. Visit the festival stalls and the Lambing Flat Museum before departing Young mid morning and travelling to Cowra for lunch at the stunning Japanese Gardens. Our travels this afternoon take us north via Canowindra through Molong and Wellington before arriving in Dubbo.

Day 6

Dubbo Zoo and Dubbo Gaol
Following breakfast visit the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. See hundreds of animals from around the world as we drive along the circuit which meanders through the natural bushland and around the large open style exhibits. Next, visit the Old Dubbo Gaol which is now over 150 years old. Learn about the barbaric prison life and see the displays which provide a realistic and
fascinating insight into a bygone era.

Day 7

Dubbo – Glen Innes
Travel to Narrabri, situated in the heart of the Namoi Valley. A visit to the unique, organ pipe cliff face of Sawn Rocks will leave you awestruck and is a great place for our picnic lunch. This afternoon’s touring takes you through Inverell before arriving into Glen Innes for our overnight stay.

Day 8

Tenterfield – Brisbane
Today we travel across the Granite Belt for a visit to Law Dogs Australia. This is the first privately owned training kennel that is open to the public to see puppies and adult dogs going through their law training. Travel to Warwick for lunch before arriving back into Brisbane where our crew will have your transfers arranged.
