Today we travel north via Gympie and Gin Gin, stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. This afternoon, see the beautiful waters of the harbour as we arrive into Gladstone for our overnight stay.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided town tour of Gladstone where the catchphrase ‘Engine Room of Industry’ highlights the region’s strong industrial facilities and economy. Gladstone is a
city where industry and tourism work together to form an exciting holiday destination. Enjoy lunch at the Botanical Gardens before heading on to Rockhampton.

Archer Park – Footlight Theatre Restaurant
This morning learn about the history of rail in the area during a visit to the Archer Park Rail Museum. Archer Park Station, which is now heritage listed, opened to the public on December 11, 1899 and in 1903 the rail line between Brisbane and Rockhampton was established making Archer Park a major terminus. Continue on for lunch and show at the Footlight Theatre Restaurant in the coastal township of Yeppoon, renowned for its laidback hospitality. This afternoon, see the famous Singing Ship monument and St Christopher's Chapel.
Cultural Centre – Capricorn Caves
This morning, visit the award winning Dreamtime Aboriginal Cultural Centre for a guided tour. A meandering trail highlights the different medicinal and edible plants of the area. Following morning tea, visit Rockhampton's iconic Capricorn Caves. A guided easy walk through the Cathedral Cave is a real highlight with its high domed ceiling and magnificent natural acoustics. Enjoy lunch in the serenity of these surroundings before you step back into the 1800s at the Rockhampton Heritage Village.
Rockhampton – Brisbane
This morning, after a very early breakfast, we bid Rockhampton farewell. Board the tilt-train before travelling through the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay areas before arriving back to Brisbane. Buy snacks, lunch and drinks from the trolley passing your seat or you may walk to the galley.
