Merimbula – Lakes Entrance
Before crossing the border into Victoria, enjoy a town tour of Eden, situated on the deep harbour of Twofold Bay. Continue over the border into the amazing retreat area of Gipsy Point and the popular holiday village of Mallacoota, Victoria’s eastern edge. This picturesque lakeside village is endowed with beaches and surrounded by bushland. Following lunch, tour the Mallacoota WWII Bunker Museum. The museum is a restored RAAF Advanced Operations Base, part of a chain of high security wartime defence bases, located around the Australian coastline. It was also the headquarters for intelligence
activity in the region. Resume our journey of exploration and, if time permits, visit Marlo and the mouth of the Snowy River on the way to Lakes Entrance.

Today visit Lake Tyers and the unique Trestle Bridge, observing Lakes Entrance from the town lookout. Continue on to the once thriving village of Metung before returning to Lakes Entrance to purchase your own lunch. This afternoon enjoy a cruise through the Gippsland Lakes, cruising Lake King and Lake Victoria aboard the largest cruise boat in Lakes Entrance.

Day 6

Wilson’s Promontory
Today is set aside to visit one of the most beautiful National Parks in Victoria. The Prom as it is affectionately known, really does have something for everyone. The Tidal River, secluded bays, magnificent stretches of beaches, granite outcrops, wildflowers and flowering trees and shrubs all combine to make this another very scenic day and an absolute delight for the photographers on board. Return via Sandy Point on Waratah Bay to your motel.

B, L, D

Day 7

Foster – Cowes
Travel via Venus Bay, Inverloch and Cape Paterson before arriving on Phillip Island. Board a luxury Catamaran cruiser for the ultimate marine adventure of being amongst thousands of playful fur seals in the wild at Seal Rocks whilst listening to the educational commentary.

B, L, D

Day 8

Phillip Island
After breakfast, the morning is at your leisure. You can choose to have a ‘slower’ morning or perhaps take time to explore Cowes, the main township on Phillip Island. Mid-morning we will board the Kasey Lee for a Captain’s Choice luncheon cruise. See Cape Woolamai’s 110 metre high ancient granite cliffs and caves and the abundant marine life which are regularly seen as you cruise around the aqua blue waters. Stop over at San Remo to see the daily pelican feeding, and enjoy a fresh fish & chip lunch on your way back to Rhyll. This afternoon we’ll visit the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Visitors Centre where you will follow in the footsteps of motor racing champions during a guided tour. Return to our motel for some time to freshen up before an early dinner and a night at the Penguin Parade. Experience the magic as you spot the first Little Penguins emerging from the sea and waddling up the beach to the safety of their homes in the sand dunes. Please ensure that you dress appropriately this evening as the weather can be quite cold sitting on the open beach front.

B, L, D

Day 9

This is the final day of a tour that has hugged the eastern seaboard so to finish it off, cross back onto the mainland at San Remo and travel via Grantville and Tooradin to the Mornington Peninsula.
